About WeekendWatts

WeekendWatts helps people size and compare power options for weekend cabins, vans, campers and seasonal homes. We focus on the math: how many watts and watt-hours you need, what surge your appliances draw, and how published product specifications compare.

Who runs this site

WeekendWatts is published by Charland & Co., a sole proprietorship based in Quebec, Canada. You can reach us at hello@charlandandco.com.

How we work

Our guides and calculators use manufacturers' published specifications and public sources, which we cite on each page. Unless a page says otherwise, we have not tested the products we discuss. When we compare products, we compare published specs, not our own measurements.

We review pages periodically and correct errors when we find them. Each page shows the date it was last updated. If you spot an error, please contact us.

What we don't do

We don't claim hands-on testing we haven't done. We don't accept payment for rankings or placement. We don't give electrical, engineering, legal, medical or financial advice. Our content is general information. For any connection to a building's wiring, hire a licensed electrician.

How we earn money

Some links on this site are affiliate links. If you buy through one, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. Commissions do not change which products we include or how we rank them. See our affiliate disclosure for details.
